Our Ministries
Everything we do at St. Peter’s is considered a ministry. Ministry as we understand it is something one does to meet the need of another person. We believe that God’s will for every human being is complete wholeness in body, mind and spirit. We also believe that God has given each one of us the potential and called us to partner with him in making things well. Our ministries are therefore opportunities for people to be blessed and be a blessing. St. Peter’s is a participatory church.
Ministry Teams
For practical purposes, our life and mission is subdivided into several ministry teams each responsible for one or more aspects of our common life and mission.
Each ministry team is called to explore and plan activities related to their area of ministry and then mobilize the whole congregation for participation. No ministry team is expected to do everything on their own. Ministry teams serve as task-forces to organize and lead certain efforts. The various ministry categories are to be seen as parts of the whole with a lot of overlapping in their various activities. The rector serves as coordinator and the spiritual advisor to all the ministry teams.
